Program Details
This trip is open to all majors. Students will spend 11 days in Quito. There will be day trips to various indigenous communities. This trip will focus on indigenous cultures in the context of conservation, sustainability, biodiversity, and human ecology. Students will do volunteer work at the Bancos de Aliementos food bank in Quito. Students will received 3 units of credit for this trip during the Spring Semester 2027 (PLS-4990). The overall trip cost will be $3,300. Each participating student will receive a $500 scholarship from the Political Science Department making the overall student trip cost, $2,800. Interested students should sign the Interest Form below by May 1, 2026. The $500 trip deposit will be due on September 4. Students will be selected on a first-come-first served basis.
