Program Details
This trip is open to all majors. Students will spend 9 days in Cusco. There will be a day trip to Machu Picchu and visits to the Chinchero, Cuyo Chico, Amaru, and the Paru Paru indigenous communities. This trip will focus on indigenous cultures in the context of conservation, sustainability, biodiversity, and human ecology. Students will do volunteer work at the Bancos de Aliementos food bank in Cusco. The overall trip cost will be $3,000. Each participating student will receive a $500 scholarship from the Political Science Department making the overall student trip cost, $2,500. The $500 trip deposit will be due on December 15.
